TJ’S CAREER IN CREATIVE STRATEGY, VISUAL DISPLAY, SET DESIGN, OFF-FIGURE AND PROP STYLING STARTED WHILE STUDYING AT VANCOUVER’S EMILY CARR UNIVERSITY OF ART & DESIGN. HIS INTEREST IN THE VISUAL FIELD LED HIM TO WORK ALONGSIDE HOLT RENFREW’S VISUAL DISPLAY TEAM CREATING WINDOWS, MERCHANDISING, IN-STORE DISPLAYS, AND OVERSEEING SPECIAL EVENTS.
WORKING AS THE DIRECTOR OF MERCHANDISING FOR HOME DECOR COMPANY 18K LED TO EXTENSIVE TRAVEL WITHIN THE NORTH AMERICAN AND EUROPEAN MARKET, DESIGNING AND INSTALLING AWARD WINNING TRADE SHOW BOOTHS AND SHOWROOMS. TJ LATER WENT ON TO BECOME THE FREELANCE MERCHANDISING AND VISUAL DESIGNER FOR GUCCI VANCOUVER, THE VISUAL MANAGER FOR HUDSON BAY’S THE ROOM (VANCOUVER), AND LATER THE NATIONAL STYLIST FOR HOLT RENFREW.
